AI adoption report

The AI adoption report is the platform's executive report. It answers how agentic AI adoption is affecting delivery, and whether output per dollar is rising. It runs at the company level, on the system-wide All Areas scope.

  • Deployment: SaaS, On-premises

The report carries the same date control as the dashboards, labeled Reporting period here. For the metrics behind each figure, see the Metrics glossary.

What the report covers

The AI Adoption Report tab, selected from the All Areas work area — the only scope that carries this report. The breadcrumb reads Home / All Areas / AI Adoption Report.

AI adoption report Executive Overview section, showing the four headline indicators, all carrying real values. Content analysis is off in this dataset, so the platform reports the output points fallback (see Value points) — the Acceleration factor tile reads OP/$ rather than VP/$.

The report is organized into sections, from summary to detail:

  • Executive Overview: the headline read, with recommendations.
  • State of AI Engineering Adoption: who is using AI and how deeply, output per dollar, and budget utilization.
  • Developer Productivity & AI Acceleration: developers grouped into cohorts by the value per dollar each returns, and into budget brackets by each developer's agentic spend.
  • Work Areas Breakdown: the same read split across work areas.
  • Definitions & glossary: a glossary for the report's own terms.

AI adoption report Developer Productivity & AI Acceleration section, which groups engineers by value output (OP/$ in this dataset — see Value points) and shows how AI budget and work model (agent, human-with-AI, or human-only) drive results. The cohort breakdown and value-per-spend panels carry real numbers; the two highest budget brackets read Suppressed — the product's own tooltip on that label reads 'Withheld to protect privacy: fewer than 5 developers in this group, below the minimum for a reportable figure,' not a missing-analysis gap.

Output per dollar is the spine of the report

The report is built around value per dollar (VP/$): value points divided by allocated engineering and AI cost. It compares your observed rate against an industry baseline and reports an acceleration factor: agentic work's VP/$ divided by in-editor work's VP/$ — how many times more value per dollar agentic work returns versus in-editor. Both terms are defined in the metrics glossary.

Because the report reads output against cost, both halves have to be trustworthy. See Value points and Set capacity assumptions.

Every VP/$-derived figure on this report, including the acceleration factor, the cohort table, and the value-per-spend panel, follows the metrics glossary's zero-versus-blank convention: a figure reads as unavailable until value points exist for the period, since it has nothing to divide by cost. Where AI analysis is unavailable, these same figures report output points instead, labeled OP/$.

Where it is available

The report renders only on the company-wide All Areas scope, not on an individual Team, Project, Mixed, or Combined work area — the platform's scoped reporting views, described in Dashboards. Those work areas carry the Activity and Tooling dashboards instead.
