Release Notes for 2026.1.2 Release - February 6, 2026
New Features & Improvements
- Improved department management experience: Administrators now have quicker access to create departments from the Departments settings page, and the project settings UI has been improved to make moving projects between departments clearer and less error-prone.

More intuitive project creation entry point: Improved where and how new projects are added in the UI, making project setup easier and more discoverable.
Editable component mapping patterns: Administrators can now edit component mapping patterns, allowing more accurate configuration of repositories and ownership.

Tracking Coverage reflects the most recent value: The Tracking Coverage metric now shows the current tracking value, not the 4-week average, improving visibility into tracking adoption.
Clearer handling of insufficient data in department metrics: Department-level metrics now display “Insufficient data” instead of misleading zero values when there isn’t enough activity to calculate reliable metrics, improving clarity and interpretation.
Easier navigation from company metrics to departments: Users can now navigate directly from company-level metric drawers into department-level views, improving metric exploration workflows.
Automatic user merging based on local Git author: Reduces manual cleanup when developers use different Git identities by automatically consolidating activity under the same user, improving data consistency for administrators.
Security hardening via dependency upgrade: Upgraded 'assertj-core' to address CVE-2026-24400, strengthening the platform’s security posture.
Bug Fixes
Improved accuracy of “Code from AI” calculations: Introduced refinements to AI contribution attribution to improve consistency in edge cases specifically when intermittent network connectivity.
Reduced false “inactive engineer” reporting for non-engineer roles: Adjusted activity classification so that project-level observers who don’t commit code are no longer flagged as idle engineers on project activity pages.
More reliable filtering of IDE activity events: Improved event filtering logic to better distinguish real coding activity from Git operations, reducing misclassified events in activity tracking, when changes are made at the filesystem level.
Clearer confirmation when adding project members: Notifications now correctly display the name of newly added members, reducing ambiguity for administrators managing team access.
Clearer naming for the Process Overhead metric: Renamed the previously labeled overhead-related metric to “Process Overhead” to better reflect what the metric represents and improve clarity.
Improved visibility of risks in developer views: Addressed an issue where certain risks were not visible when viewing individual developers, ensuring risks are consistently exposed across views.
