New Features & Improvements​

  • CodeTogether Plugin Adoption Metrics: We have introduced two new metrics to help track adoption of the CodeTogether IDE plugin:

    • Plugin Adoption: The percentage of active users who have the plugin installed.
    • Plugin Users: The total number of active users using the plugin.

    These provide a clear view of adoption trends over the last 28 days. This added visibility helps teams better understand plugin engagement and measure how widely the tool is being utilized.

  • Issue Reporting in Browser: Introduced a unified alert mechanism that consolidates both server-side and browser-side issues into a single, consistent notification. Alerts will be presented in the bottom-right in the browser, and will correspond only to actions the current user is experiencing. The alert will link to a browser session log, simplifying issue review and diagnostic details that can be shared with support. This improves visibility into technical problems and streamlines troubleshooting. Note that in addition, browser alerts are also captured in the server log so that if non-admin users experience issues, those problems will also still be captured. To avoid confusion for users who are further removed from administering the system, regular users will not receive browser alerts. Only the following two roles will have alerts visible:

    • Project Managers: receive simplified summaries (enough to stay informed without technical details).
    • System Administrators: have full access to diagnostic information and logs for troubleshooting.

  • “Restore Defaults” in Privacy Settings: Added a Restore Defaults button to the Privacy settings for metrics, allowing users to quickly revert all visibility settings back to the system defaults. This provides an easy way to undo changes or experiments and return to a trusted configuration with a single click (after confirmation), improving usability when managing settings.

  • Security Hardening: We have implemented key security updates to keep the platform aligned with the latest best practices and threat protection standards. These improvements reinforce our ongoing commitment to safeguarding your data and maintaining a resilient environment, because your security remains our top priority.
